The Art of Christmas
Nationwide school Christmas tree decorating competition
The competition
For the first time ever, we are organising an art competition for schools called the Art of Christmas. We want to celebrate the beauty of Christmas and the joy of reconnecting with our loved ones following the pandemic.
Schools are able to enter the competition for free through the HNCF website. Each school must decorate its own Christmas tree and get creative and think outside the box with its resources, using the theme of reconnecting. The deadline for schools to submit pictures of their decorated Christmas tree and explanations behind their designs is the 10th of December. Our panel of judges will then chose winners in each school category (Nursery and Pre-School, KS1 and KS2, and Secondary High).
First place in each of the three age categories wins £1,200k of art supplies, kindly donated by STABILO. The competition is a way of raising awareness around head and neck cancers at a grassroots level and also generating tangible rewards for the school and future generations.
The winners of the Art of Christmas competition will be announced at midday on Thursday 16th of December via a special festive Facebook live. The perfect end to a school term for all the children that take part!
How to enter
To enter, please register your school below. We will then be in touch with further details of how to submit imagery of your decorated Christmas tree during the second half of November.
Submissions must be made by December 10th to allow time for judging. The winning schools will be announced at midday on Thursday 16th of December via a special festive Facebook live.
