London to Brighton Cycle 2021
Introducing our fabulous fundraisers! #LB2021HNCF
We have put together an amazing team of volunteers who are taking on the 55mile cycle from London to Brighton to fundraise for the Head and Neck Cancer Foundation.
"Cycling has really helped me during the pandemic, keeping me stress-free and my mind clear of what’s going on around the world, so I’ve decided to challenge myself this year by taking on this bike ride, and what better way to do it than raising money for charity."
Please donate via Just Giving to help Billy hit his target. Donations of any size are gratefully received and will support our life saving work. Thank you.
Isobel is 22 years old and has recently graduated from university with a BSc in psychology. During the pandemic, she started working at a GP surgery and is hoping to study for her master's in September. She has always been an active person and used to row in her school days, however hasn't done anything as challenging since. She has now decided to take on this challenge and is happy to be able to do so on behalf of a great cause.
Zac is a 19-year-old currently doing a degree apprentice in construction site management. He is an active person who plays rugby and enjoys cycling and jogging. He has been interested in the London to Brighton cycle for a while and is keen to take on the challenge.
"Hi! I'm Nicola Graham, I got into cycling some years ago now and haven't looked back. I love meeting new people, making friends and seeing more of the world and cycling helps me tick all those boxes.
Since I began i've had any number of bikes, been on bike holidays and even setup an instagram account (@Naked_Nic_Nic on IG) and website focused to a large extent on cycling. Say Hi! if you see me, it makes my day when I meet a smiling happy cyclist.
Apart from having some great times cycling i've also had some disasters. That's why i'm cycling from London to Brighton in support of Head and Neck because, you guessed it, I've crashed a few times. Please please please people wear helmets. Without my helmet I wouldn't be here today. I wrote a blog about my experience here.
I'm really looking forward to taking part in this landmark cycle with my bike Bamba (of course), I hope to see you there!"
Please donate via Just Giving to help Nicola hit her target and raise funds for our charity.
"I've been a keen cyclist since I can remember and have taken part in a few organised events over the years, including the 100 mile Haywards Heath Howler, that takes in some of the London to Brighton (L2B) route. However, I have never been a part of the L2B ride and haven been given the opportunity this year I had no excuse not to. Roll on September the 19th. I can't wait!!!"
"Hey everyone. I'm Jake. I love cycling and started in 2014 when a friend of mine asked me to do a Triathlon. Since then I've never looked back.
I love the freedom of cycling. I love that you can travel to beautiful, far away places in a way that still feels connected with the outside world. There's nothing better than a bike ride out into the country, stopping for some coffee and cake, and then rolling home again!
I'm cycling to support the Head & Neck Cancer Foundation, but also to support the minds inside. Cycling is such a wonderful way to safeguard your mental health and that's something we should all be supporting each other with.
I'm always happy to go for a ride with anyone, so reach out if you think it would be helpful."
Please donate via Just Giving to help Jake hit his target and raise funds for our charity.
